Well, I'd very much like to thank Uncle Colin for the Welcome to Country and to congratulate and give a big shout-out to Briggs and everyone who's been associated with putting on this really important festival to campaign for a Yes.
We have eight days to make the greatest country on earth just that little bit greater.
This is about just two things.
First, recognising the great privilege that non-Indigenous Australians have of sharing this continent of ours with the oldest continuous culture on earth.
And the second is honouring the form of recognition that we have been graciously requested to give.
A form of recognition that simply says, 'We want to be listened to so that we get better results, so that we close the gap, so that young Indigenous Australians have the same opportunity that non-Indigenous Australians have'.
That is what Indigenous people want in this country.
The same opportunity for their kids as other Australians have.
Together, this can be a moment of national unity if we vote Yes.
So, in eight days' time, what way are you going to vote?
Let's get this done, Australia.
