I begin by acknowledging the traditional owners of the land on which we meet and I pay my respects to their elders past, present and emerging.

I’m proud to lead a Government that will give every Australian the opportunity to vote for Constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in a referendum in the last quarter of this year.

On that note, I want to thank the AFL and the Swans for their longstanding support for Constitutional Recognition and their public backing of a Yes vote.

ANTHONY ALBANESE, PRIME MINISTER: Well, these are fantastic facilities for the Sydney Swans here at Moore Park. An important facility not just to assist with the future success of the Swans, both their men's and women's teams, but also an important community facility, where community activity will occur. Everything from the Red Cross, to basketball, to charity events, including of course, the Clontarf Foundation that's so important for giving Indigenous young people those educational opportunities to succeed in life.

I will say that I'm very proud to lead a government that will give Australians the opportunity to recognise that privilege we have sharing this beautiful country over half with the oldest continuous culture on Earth, and recognising them in our Constitution in a referendum that will be held in the last quarter of this year.

EPSTEIN: Child care, there will be more subsidies flowing through to a ton of parents. But the costs aren't dropping, the cost parents actually pay. Why not?

GED KEARNEY, ASSISTANT MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND AGED CARE: Well good morning everybody. Thank you for coming to my wonderful electorate of Cooper. We are here at the Merri Community Childcare and Kindergarten Centre right in the heart of Cooper because as of July, for every Australian family, early childhood subsidies, our new cheaper childcare policy, kicks in. This is an amazing policy, it will really change lives. It's a game changer. I know for the people of Cooper it means that 6200 families will access cheaper childcare.

POOLE: Will you be getting special prime ministerial construction hat today as you walk around?

ANTHONY ALBANESE, PRIME MINISTER: It's fantastic to be here at the construction site for the Coffs Harbour Bypass, the last piece in the puzzle to fully duplicate the Pacific Highway. This project will make an enormous difference. A project which will consist of three channels, will consist of 14 kilometres of road which is fully duplicated, and which will create some 12,000 direct and indirect jobs, take some 12 minutes off the trip by removing 12,000 vehicles, both cars and heavy vehicles from the centre of Coffs Harbour.
